My professional journey in education spans 19 years of dedicated service. I began my career as a classroom teacher within the Indianola School District at Robert L. Merritt Junior High School, where I developed a strong foundation in instructional practices and student engagement. Since then, I have held various leadership roles that have allowed me to expand my impact by promoting student achievement and fostering collaborative, supportive school communities.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi Valley State University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. Committed to advancing my leadership skills, I completed an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Throughout my career, I have witnessed the influential influence educators have on students’ academic growth and overall development, and I am deeply grateful for the mentorship and collaboration with colleagues who have shaped my journey. Committed to fostering an inclusive and academically rigorous learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive, I consider it a privilege to collaborate closely with students, families, and staff in promoting a shared vision of excellence. Through intentional leadership and unwavering dedication, I strive to strengthen the foundation of learning and cultivate a culture of success that supports the growth and achievement of our entire school community.
